On November 16, Cuba registered three million international visitor arrivals, 45 days before the same figure was reached in 2014, representing the continuation of this upward trend and an 18% growth in arrivals so far this year, in comparison to the same period in 2014.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Tourism, Canada features as the number one emissary of visitors to Cuba registering 1,110,000 travelers, a 13% increase; followed by the country’s top European markets which together recorded a growth of over 25%.

To these must be added the largest emissary markets in Latin America, which all together grew more than 20%.
These results have been attributed to the new situation the country is experiencing, with broad international recognition for the work undertaken by sector institutions responsible for continually improving the island’s tourist product and raising the quality of services; for support offered by all sectors of the Cuban economy to prioritizing the development of the tourist industry, in addition to efforts of state and non-state employees, enhanced by the natural hospitality with which Cuban’s receive all those who visit the island.
